The Green Restaurant Association is seeking an intern at its downtown Boston office to work 10 hours per week for a minimum duration of 6 months. The intern will be responsible for assisting consultants in day-to-day operations, writing reports, and conducting research related to environmental sustainability. Green Fellows Program

Where: Boston, MA
When: September 10, 2010 to December 10, 2010. 10-20 Hours per Week.
What: Five Green Dining Fellows will work together in Boston, MA to encourage more restaurants to become environmentally sustainable. They will be using various tools, including:

Green Dining Fellows will have their own individual projects and goals… and will have group projects and collective goals. Green Restaurant Association (GRA), founded in 1990, is an international, non-profit organization with the mission of creating environmental sustainability in the restaurant industry.
Position Summary:
The environmental analyst is a full-time office position. He/she will help restaurants achieve Certified Green Restaurant® status.
Responsibilities:
• Review invoices, digital pictures, and other forms of documentation that clients submit to demonstrate their environmental accomplishments
• Analyze this Data to determine the steps and points that a restaurant will be credited in accordance with the Green Restaurant Association’s environmental standards
• Enter all data (i.e. points, product info, etc.) into our database.
• Develop Assessment and Certification Reports
Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with data analysis
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and math
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of relevant sustainability issues
• Self-motivated
• Flexible
