We are proud to announce the launch of badges, starting with the Near-Zero Waste™ Badge. To earn the badge, restaurants will need to have a full-scale recycling and composting program, have only reusables in-house, no disposable straws, no single serve-serve water containers, and many other waste reduction and reuse steps. The badge draws upon the GRA's Waste Reduction Certification Standards. What is new is that if a restaurant is meeting the highest levels of reduce, reuse, and recycle/compost, then it will earn the badge and be able to market itself as a Near-Zero Waste™ Restaurant, along with the badge emblem.
